I know the only way to be sure is to complete DoDMERB but my friend is wondering if it would even be worth the time hence an immediate DQ.

My friend has been considering doing ROTC but has Eosinophilic esophagitis.
It's basically allergies to specific foods which causes inflammation of the esophagus. If this condition is specifically listed as a disqualifing illness, is there any hope for wavier?

    DODI 6130.03, section 5.12.a.4

If your friend is dissuaded from applying by any opinion listed here or elsewhere, then they should not spend any effort trying for a commission.

There is no need to be snarky.

Ha! Not being snarky, and I'm sorry if I came across that way. Just pointing out a fact. :)
