Everything In D.C. Shut Down, But Not The Guards at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier

They'll go to the Trophy House only if the wind gets too bad, or if there is Lightning, those bayonets are like lightning rods.

Brings back memories of far too many days standing in the pouring rain or snow.

Our thoughts are with everyone on the east coast.
 
I got my mail today, so they aren't the only federal employees in the DC area working.
 
Floated around on facebook for a long time, much respect for them

Things like that gives me renewed hope in our nation and military!
 
I've got my own feelings about the amount of focus on the three soldiers pictured, but I'll save them.

Rest assured there are far more than three honor guard soldiers doing something in the rain this week, and many with far greater impact on their fellow service members and Americans.

But it's a nice picture.
