So first of all, some good news. I found out today that I've been accepted to the USMA Summer Leaders' Experience, which is very exciting. I'm really looking forward to visiting West Point and discovering if I belong there. Also, I would like to thank user @hamleton, a current USMA plebe whom I met on this site. His email correspondence has been of great assistance to me.

Anyway, I have a question for those salty forum vets that seem to know everything there is to know about this arduous and complicated admissions process (thank goodness for them!). My question involves service-connected nominations. My dad is a retired Marine, and I am a member of an Honors with Distinction Navy JROTC unit. Both of these provide me paths to a nomination which fall under the service-connected nomination category. My question is this: can I utilize both of these as separate nomination sources, or must I choose only one? Thanks again.

The standard recommendation throughout SAF is apply for all nom sources for which eligible, Presidential, Senators, Rep, VP, JROTC, any others. That gives the SA maximum flexibility in charging any potential appointment to a nom source.

If you haven't already, read every page, drop down and link on desired SA websites in Admissions and other areas. Browse the Nominations forum here on SAF, especially the stickies. Go to the websites for each nom source and take notes on requirements and timelines. Finally, look at the USMA Class of 2021 Appointments thread and note the variety of noms.
