NROTC assigned the scholarship to his top Plan B school, and he was deferred in the Early Action Round (as expected), so we wait, and the NROTC option hangs on for dear life. But, DS is aware that deferral most likely equates to rejection in the RD Round. Fortunately, he was awarded a Type I AFROTC Scholarship, so his options are now a little more flexible. He's been accepted to several schools where he can use his AF Scholarship, including one where he received a $25K per year merit scholarship, and that school has agreed to convert the university award to cover room and board (15K per year). So at that school, it's a full scholarship opportunity for him.
