Hello, all!
I am I current high school female looking seriously into the USAFA as a school. I know a lot about the process to get in but I am not as well informed about the aspect of a woman getting into the academy, as well as the perspective of a female at the USAFA.
I want to hopefully major in Aerospace Engineering (typical, I know) and I am in the process of getting my private pilot license, which should be completed before college. I have good grades, am taking AP classes, and do competitive sports outside of school. I have always dreamed of flying a plane like an F-22 or F-16, so that is what sparked my interest in the Air Force originally
Well, that is just a little bit about me. I just wanted to start a thread about the female aspects of a female during the process of getting in, during BCT, and working your way up to first-class cadet.
Thanks!

Not making light of your inquiry; but there are a lot of threads in this forum about women at the academy; getting in; jobs after graduation; etc. Did you try using the search bar at the top of the page?

If you don't want to expand on existing threads, I'm sure someone will add to yours.

Best of luck.

You ask some serious questions. Hopefully current cadets will respond with helpful information. As the parent of a current cadet my perspective is limited, as is that of everyone else who is not a female and has not been a cadet at USAFA. Best of luck!

My DDiL is a grad and she majored in Astro (I think).

There are lots of threads here about women going to BCT, and all the attendant questions and attitudes (ALL of those).

Take a look and see if you have some specific questions other than "Golly, what's it like" since that's been asked and answered about 50 times.

I am a female USAFA grad and overall I loved my experience at USAFA, but your question is rather general. If you have specific questions or concerns, it would be easier to answer. If you prefer and have enough posts, feel free to PM me.

I graduated in 2012 (same class as fencer twins) and majored in physics and math, although I was considering Astro when I was applying

Same offer as USAFA10s. Feel free to PM me. I just finished up my freshman year and will be majoring in mechanical engineering.
