Experimented with Marijuana after Appointment (What Will Happen?)

I think the national views on pot are changing and a person in this type of scenario has a chance. Smoking pot is legal in two states - what happens with candidates from these states where no laws were broken while smoking pot? Heck, Clinton and Obama smoked pot and they were elected President of the United States.

That said, I would boot him out in a heartbeat if he was standing before my green table.

Weed is illegal federally. My ALO warned me saying that smoking pot in states where it is legal locally is still against the form 2030 because it is not recognized legally federally. When you run for president they don't make you sign a form saying you won't smoke or drink if under age do they? If this person is really telling the truth then they went against their signed agreement.

Even in Colorado, it is only legal for those over the age of 21. I suspect the OP doesn't fit that description.

That's true, but on the 2030 it specifically states that no weed use after you sign the form as it is illegal federally

I don't care what anyone else thinks. I won't argue opinions with anyone. I'm standing by my convictions.

I just figured the Honor Code is the Honor Code, no wiggle room, not to what degree it was broken.

I do believe that the Honor Code oath is not taken until Acceptance Day, after Basic Cadet Training. That being said...I like my mom's lemon meringue pie

Is it me or did this thread just develop the munchies?

(I'm a pecan pie girl, BTW.)

If anything, it gave me the urge to listen to some Crash Test Dummies. As Homer Simpson would say, "Mmmmmm, stoner rock (gargling)"

Pie is not round. Pi r squared.

Thank You!!!

Given the abundance of shaming from being called sickening, that parents should be supremely ashamed, and the complete denouncing of the OP's (troll or not) character, you'd think he'd have killed a small child rather than smoked a blunt.

Seriously, it's a stupid choice among many stupid choices appointees make before arriving. Smoking a joint doesn't make someone an immoral miscreant. He made a poor decision and will deal with it however he chooses but it doesn't excuse the righteous condemnation everyone is throwing around here. Tone it down and get a grip.

Well said. Thanks!!!

If OP isnt trolling.

This may be harsh. But it is only my opinion.

You don't deserve to go to the academy. You did once. But not anymore. If you really can't even stay away from weed. You know what that tells us. It tells us, you are easily influenced/peer-pressured and have no control over your actions to act as a leader with other peoples lives in your hands.

I don't think you will tell the truth to whoever or on whatever. If you did drugs when you were strictly told not to, lying isn't far off from your spectrum. In fact, i'm pretty sure lying will come easier than doing drugs.

I hope you do the right thing though. Good luck!
