Yes. Apparently being reported by multiple new outlets. I suppose the young man's name might be revealing as to domestic vs foreign terror. Evidently a Lord and Taylor surveillance video was the basis but bombs haven't yet been tied to this individual... but I imagine time will remedy that.

Yeah, FOX news and others are now backing off this. Evidently at least 3 officials have said that no arrest has been made. Fetch rover. Fetch! But there is no stick dad! Unfortunately we peons also looked for the stick. Shame on us.
 
I give it 48-72 hours before I think they start getting it right. Damn shame the media starts filling in so much info with nonsense just to try to get the viewers to tune in.
 
Don't think we would or should know if an arrest has been made

If this person has cohorts why tip them off that they might be compromised? Say nothing and see who comes out of the wood work.

You're right. OTOH I thought the confusion from the news media might cause them to foolishly break cover like a covey of quail which might also serve a purpose. Who the heck knows. Just hope we catch them.

I honestly think it just a jumpy press; report, then confirm. Same thing happened in CT after the shooting. It's pathetic.

I'm sure you're right. Just wanted to report my passing thought.... because the whole world wants to know what I'm thinking! :shake:

News reporting one suspect dead (the one in the black hat) after shootout with police, and other suspect (white hat) on the run. One officer reported dead, one injured.

All of this happened last night.
 
The father and sister are now talking to news agencies and they are trying to use the media to get him to surrender.
 
The more I've watched this, the more respect I've had for local, state and federal law enforcement.

Their press conferences have been text book, in this kind of a situation (desipite some delays).
 
Apparently they've got suspect #2 (the younger brother) cornered in a boat in someone's backyard, looks like this is all about to be over soon.
 
And now he is captured and in serious condition. Apparently he will not be Mirandized.

OK. So puzzle me this. Two bombs exploded. It was reported two more bombs were found and disabled. Apparently they couldn't be exploded because cell service was turned off or jammed. So 4 bombs. Doesn't that say 4 guys and not just the two we know about? Plus whatever they had for a support network. (I conclude 4 because someone carrying two backpacks would draw attention.)

OK. Back to my Miss Marple novel.
