I've really gained a lot of information on this thread. Thanks for all the insight. One question I haven't been able to find the answer to: What does "FAIP" stand for. Sorry but this is all brand new.

Fighter guys get way less hours. Bullet retired with a total of 2400 hours after 20 years. You have to remember to make rank you need to step out of the cockpit. Bullet stepped out 3x for a total of 6 years.

Airlines like both fighter and heavies. Fighters because they know that they most likely graduated at the top of their UPT class. Heavies because they have the experience of flying heavies, and more hours.

Stealth is right on the mark of why our DS prayed not to get an AWAC. It is very hard on families regarding their deployment schedules and not a sexy mission as a pilot.
