I'm starting this thread so that Falcon Scholars have an idea of who has also received a FFS and which prep schools they'll be attending.
For those not aware of what the Falcon Foundation and their scholarship is:
The Falcon Foundation was formed in 1958 by a group of retired Air Force officers, it's a non-profit organization whose mission is to help motivated students achieve their goal of attending USAFA by providing Falcon Foundation Scholarships each year.
The FFS is a scholarship towards any of 6 prep schools (Greystone at Schreiner University, Kent School, Marion Military Institute, New Mexico Military Institute, Randolph-Macon Academy, and Northwestern Preparatory School) and covers almost all tuition/room and board.
The number of Falcon Foundation scholarships awarded each year is set by the USAFA admissions office, with a max of 100 awarded each year.
You cannot apply for a FFS, it is awarded to those who qualify for admission to USAFA but are not receiving an appointment.
Upon successful completion of prep, if the recipient continues to meet admissions guidelines and obtains a nomination, they will be offered an appointment to USAFA.
Sorry if I wasn't very thorough, I had to quickly type all this up.
