Falcon Scholarship, What is the full meaning?

I’m a Falcon Scholar and I was told if I get my grades up and passed the CFA, I was practically guaranteed a spot for USAFA. This is a fantastic opportunity and you’ll be even more successful at USAFA with an extra year’s prep under your belt.

Congrats! You’re on your way! My DS was a successful college reapplicant to USNA and that extra year was a huge bonus!

Do you still have to take your SATs again?

I can tell you that RMA is a high school that takes on Falcon Scholars. We visited but it is not a place my DD would have been happy. The students are there who have parents who sent them for discipline problems. The students can't talk during lunch, they have to ask permission to speak. Check out MMI, it really is a great place. No big reapplication for AFA, simply sending in transcripts and letters from the prep schools officials. My DD didn't have to do all the other paperwork. She did have to take the ACT, medical and physical testing again. If a FS tries and does there best, it is definitely the golden ticket.
Wow Sherrie...You got some bad and INCORRECT information about R-MA. Where did you get the idea that R-MA is a school for kids with disciplinary problems? My son attends there and has already received a national NROTC 4-year scholarship, 4 nominations to USAFA, 3 noms for USNA, and still waiting to hear on the AFROTC scholarship. He chose to go there himself, as I worked overseas at the time. He wants to be a pilot and after several school visits, decided R-MA was the best place for him to achieve his goals.
He can and does talk to his friends at meal time, so that info. u gave was incorrect. His best buddy there just received an appt. to USAFA and actually visited us in Saudi Arabia. No disciplinary problems with that one...My son has tons of friends who want to be there. Are there a few who are there because they’ve had issues at home? Probably...But to generalize that RMA is a place where parents sent them to deal with disciplinary problems is just incorrect.
