I'll be going to my first football game at Falcon Stadium this weekend. I read the online list of what is allowed to bring inside the, but while it said that photography without flash was allowed the list made no mention of lens restrictions for DSLRs.

Does anyone have experience in this? I know that backpacks are a no go, but will they let me in with a camera around my neck that has a 70-200mm lens on it? I bet a 100-400 lens is out of the question.

Well, maybe. I have a what is now an old Nikon D200 with the Nikkor 70-300mm vr lens, and when I entered the stadium on Parents weekend the gate attendant advised me that while he would let me pass "that day", a lens over 4" was not allowed. I have never seen that posted, but that was my experience. Good luck.

yes, lenses over 4" are not allowed and it has been in the PW information every year that I have been. But they never seem to enforce it.

I think it is enforced at graduation when there is someone like the President there more than any other time.

Thanks, everyone! I guess I'll be taking a point and shoot, just to be on the safe side.

Hoping for a good game :)
