Falcon Visitation Experience Invitees

I received my acceptance and filled out all the information and the PDF. Has anyone received any other emails since then?

Not yet. Hurry up and wait. Get used to it. It's also recommended you don't use your actual name as a user name here.

No additional email yet. They are diligently working on putting together the flights for everyone.

Btw there are planning for another FVE in December.

I got an email containing a packing list that very vaguely describes what clothes to bring “nice jeans/ pants and shirts” what would everyone suggest? Blouses- or just plain colored shirts and non ripped jeans?

Seeing that the cadet hosts who will be escorting you will be in uniform, I would especially keep that in mind on what you wear. It specifically says the clothing should not have tears or holes. Projected temperatures are 77 high and 48 low. Blouses or plain colored shirts and pants sound good.

Just curious, was your airport destination ending in Denver or Colorado Springs? DD has Denver listed so was hoping there will be transportation provided from Denver to USAFA.

I am also traveling into Denver landing at approximately 11:39

Never mind.. finally figured out the PDF which includes a Traveler Worksheet. And in answer to our previous question above the travel dates seem to be 9/28 and 10/2.
I was able to open it and filled it out, how did you send it back? Did you print and email it back? Thank you.

Yes - DD printed it, scanned after filling it out and then emailed it back. If you don’t happen to have a scanner, Genius scan is an app where you can take a photo of the documents and it will convert them to a PDF. You can then email the documents to yourself for free.

Congratulations and enjoy the FVE! It’s a very packed schedule! DD had a great time and also made some wonderful friends! Dress warmly as it will be very cold! Don’t forget hat and gloves and thermals! And sunglasses and lip balm!

An acceptance email was received this morning. Good luck! Is anyone else having trouble accessing the PDF?

Thank you very much, your response is very helpful!

Hi, Do you know the activities the parents will be involved in? Thank you.
Hello! Sadly there were no activities scheduled for parents which is unfortunate for those not familiar with the academy or the area. There is no need for parents to go, but if you like to be close by for comfort, see if you can sign up for a USAFA tour or do some sightseeing. The area is really beautiful! Feel free to PM if you need any more specific info

I'm surprised! They pay for a parent to go!

Our son is in the class of 2027. What do you mean that they "pay for a parent to go!"
This was for the Falcon visitation experience (FVE) which some candidates were invited to attend earlier this past year.

The FVE experience this past January was first of its kind. USAFA Admissions included one parent to come along with the candidate. USAFA reimbursed the parent's flight and hotel for the event.
