Arggggggggg Ancient technology. People still fax????????? Sorry, I'm an electronic engineer with degrees in computer science and electronic engineering. I tease people who still fax. But to answer your question; if there was a need to fax; which I can't really think of any; but yes, the 10th CS phone system will allow faxes to come through.
Here however is the problem. You're NOT going to have a phone line in your room. Not unless you use a) Cellular or b) VOIP. But in theory, yes faxes would work on the phones that are there.
So, how do you fax if you HAD to fax to someone with a fax machine??? There are a lot of email-to-fax online services available for those who have business with someone who has a fax machine. Basically, they fax to a 1-800 number which forwards the fax to your email. You email through the service and it auto-faxes to the number you want. Average price is $0.10 per fax. But in my business, I think I've faxed maybe 3 times in the last 4 years. If someone needs a signature, they email me the document; I print it; sign it; scan it right back in and send it simultaneously. (Plus; I have a copy this way on my PC instead of hard copies). Anyway, hope that helps. The short answer is YES, fax will work. The long answer is NO you don't have phones in your room. You don't even have Jacks in your room. Only network jacks for the internet/network.
While I am writing this, I was chatting online with my son. He verified it. No phone jacks in the rooms. No phone service. Just cell phone or voip. So, if you really need to fax; for I don't know why reasons; my suggestions above apply. later.... mike.....
