Feds dismiss USMMA cadet lawsuit

Interesting. She said the plaintiffs fail because they didn't apply for medical or religious exemption. Have any religious exemptions been granted?

Have any religious exemptions been granted?
None of the major religious denominations (and only a very few minor denominations) oppose COVID or other vaccinations. So, I would imagine that it will be very difficult to obtain a religious exemption.

Yeah, not sure what criteria is used to determine which religious exemptions will be granted but that is a different issue from if they are granted at all.

This guy was "fired" from his XO position for not getting the vaccine. The article says he requested a religious exemption but didn't get it. The article (10 days old now so perhaps out of date) also says "The Pentagon has made the vaccine mandatory for all service members, and Navy personnel had until late November to get their shots or request exemptions. Thousands of service members have asked for religious exemptions, but so far none of the military services have approved one."

One the one hand you have judges saying if you didn't request and exemption - you lose. On the other hand none of the religious exemptions are granted - you're fired.

I suspect the people not getting their exemptions granted might be in a better position to litigate down the road then those that just refuse but there are reasons for that as well - still no Comirnaty available, etc. Unfortunately for them any redress will likely come after they have been separated and going back may not be an option even if desired. Still waiting to see how it plays out.
