For the AFROTC scholarship fitness test is this chart correct? The scoring for the female run doesn't seem right. I emailed the author and haven't heard back.

The scholarship PFA is not the AF PFT. Although very similar in structure to the AF PFT, I'm not aware of any publicly available scholarship application PFA scoring criteria.

I do, it's in the book sold on Amazon, made by ROTC consulting. Check it here

It is legitimate

That's where I got that table from, so which is it? His book is showing one thing and you've linked to another one with total different times/points.

Comparing your posted charts above to the official AFPFT fitness charts yields no difference to my cursory review, other than the lack of body composition metrics for the scholarship fitness assessment.

Could you provide a side-by-side of the discrepancy you are referencing?

Regardless, I'd look to official AFROTC and/or USAF fitness guidance before anything else. That guidance is authoritative. Robert Kirkland's guidance is suggestive (not passing any judgement on accuracy)-- I doubt he would disagree with me on that.

Start with the official guidance, and compliment it with unofficial guidance. Where contradictions exist, stick with the official instructions and regulations. That's the best path forward.

From what I can tell AFROTC doesn’t provide any official information regarding the scoring system when applying for scholarships. I bought the book on amazon but the female scores drop drastically from 60 to 49 which is why I questioned it. I emailed ROTC Consultants (author runs it) and didn’t hear back.

Thanks, I see that now. It's probably a typo, but who knows? The PFA score charts (if they exist) aren't made public.

I wouldn't put a lot of stock in anything that isn't official AFROTC or USAF guidance and that contradicts said guidance. The reality is that there are tons of HSSP awardees out there that trained to the AFPFT score charts. There are also cadets each semester who were awarded scholarships with poor PFA scores.

The only fitness test that really matters is the AFPFT-- the one cadets will take before they contract and regularly throughout their college experience.

Good luck!

Thank you. The books advice was to focus on the run portion because you’d gain more points by shaving off a couple minutes from your run versus killing yourself with push-ups and sit-ups. I’m taking that with a grain of salt now though since that chart probably isn’t accurate.

In my opinion that is counterintuitive. You said the chart probably isn't accurate; however if you look at the official AF test, you can see that the run will yield the most points, if you can get them. Keep in mind pushups and situps are relatively easy to max out, if practice is applied.

Are you currently a high school student applying for an AFROTC scholarship, or are you currently a USAF servicemember?
I'd rather not answer that on here

This.

I know it is possible to fail the fitness test and still get a scholarship.

But do you get a 0/100 points in the Air Force ROTC Scholarship consideration?
