Female undergarments

Hello all. Are female cadets assigned undergarments or are they allowed to wear their own choice/type of underwear/bras/sports bras?

If I recall correctly from last year, they’re issued underwear but have to bring sports bras.

I didn’t want my DD wearing Army-issued underwear so we bought her underwear to use along with the sportsbras.
 
After Beast, things get more relaxed. The Academy provides all but leaves much to be desired. After Beast, new foundation wear will be required by the Cadet. We didn't anticipate this but were able to get replacements shipped for Re-Orgy week. Wal-Mart two day shipping proved to be more reliable and quicker in an urgent situation than Amazon. The Exchange is also good but not as quick.
 
Your DD can bring her own undergarments and not use any of the issued stuff. Required to bring bras. Socks can be treated like undergarments. Can bring her own - just can’t have any logos and need to be correct colors. Detailed list will be provided shortly after appointment.
 
To stock up on sports bras at discount prices, especially if Champion is a favorite brand, One Hanes Place online. Based on my observation of our USNA female sponsor mids, that particular item of clothing gets hard use.
 
Don’t worry about logos or underwear color at all. It says only black or something like that but it really doesnt matter.
 
My DD's last vestige of femininity at USMMA was her underwear. Sounds silly, but having control over that one tiny aspect of her life kept her from going crazy. I recommend anything that makes your DD feel pretty, including lace and wild colors. There are tons of cute sports bras out there that do the intended job while still being stylish. Good luck!

At least not when it is on...During room inspection DD and roommates would place her Victoria Secret panties and bras right where the detailer (usually a male) could see them. The detailer would get a red face and felt very uncomfortable and the inspection was over quickly. The girls had a hard time not laughing while watching the detailer try to be professional while looking at lace bras and thongs! So yes I would highly suggest taking your own undergarments. During Beast or Plebeb summer they will be in sports bras and compression shorts. DD threw away the sports bras and compression shorts from Plebe summer!
 
They issue underwear but my dd did not use them. She actually liked men’s compression underwear in the tecky material over the compression shorts for women. Something about the materials causing less chafing. She competed on the sandhurst team fall of plebe year and continued using the men’s underwear for all the rucking that’s required with that event and training.
 
Would you recommend that they bring long 'under' shorts to help prevent chafing? Wal mart has them and no panty lines. DD likes them under her competition wear (spandex).
 
DD, a USNA mid, wore spandex shorts through all of Plebe Summer. They stood up to the rigors, didn’t cause chafing or ride up or bunch up. Wicked sweat well and withstood the brutal laundry machines. I’m sure they’d be equally useful at USMA.

Tip for USNA mids-to-be who’ll be wearing a lot of white uniforms: Gray undergarments don’t show through as much as white ones do. (Somewhere in Naptown right now, DD is subconsciously mortified that I’m sharing all this. Sorry, kiddo.)
