My son left for Maxwell AFB for FT last week. I'm dying to know what's going on. The Marine Corps has a syllabus of sorts for each training day that's available to parents. Anybody know if this is available for FT?

My son will be going to Max 6. I am not familiar with the Marine syllabus but my son was home a couple of weeks ago and showed me a few excerpts from his FT Manual. In the appendix it shows 1) the schedule for a "typical" day and 2) a chart which shows "training phase by training day". The 28 days cover various elements of the Airman's Manual. I had a good chuckle when I noted wake-up at 0435

No, nothing like that and no photos either. But you can google field training manual 2013 to get an overview. Youtube has some videos to give you the flavor of some events.

Project Write2Them

For $25 you can have your Cadet recieve mail daily while at Maxwell AFB. Previous posts have said they didn't think Write2Them.org covered the Field Training for AFROTC, but I emailed them and they said that YES they provide this service for all military training or deployment periods!!
And this includes up to 30 friends!!! So your cadet can recieve up to 30 letters a day for this low price of $25!! And the best part is that it all works through email! So you can scan news clippings, pictures, cards and attach them to the email and they will print it up for you!
