It's that time of year again. Finals are coming up. Today my Calculus teacher dropped a bomb on us and told us that our final test will be worth 25% of our grade.

I received my appointment in March, and I know that it is conditional. My question would be: How conditional is this appointment? I'm sitting at a 'C' in Calculus right now. Would the Naval Academy possibly take away my appointment if I were to (god forbid) blow my final and get a D in Calculus? All of the rest of my grades are hovering in the A-range. I am probably over-thinking my situation, but any light that anyone could shed on my current situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is very unlikely that an appointment would be rescinded for final grades. IF you were getting all As first semester and got all Ds and Fs in your final semester, that could be an issue -- if there weren't a legitimate reason -- b/c is would suggest you simply stopped working.

However, the fact that you have an occasional grade that is lower than you would like is unlikely to be an issue.

Don't worry, dont fail. You will be here along with your 1200 or so classmates very soon to relieve my classmates and myself of our misery.
