At some point prior to I Day, will the USNA want a final high school transcript? I'm actually surprised there wasn't some mention of it in the PTR package.

I was wondering this too. Just looked through both the admissions envelope and the PTR and could not find any mention. I think I might just bring it to I-Day in case.

I plan to bring the hard-copy, a "certified sealed copy" and a scanned copy on jump drive (along with all the other 100's documents) for him to keep on his person until:

a. they need it
b. they confiscate it
c. they watch him destroy it
d. they ignore it

Yes, it will be a cheap one b/c knowing the military it will probably be "b." I plan the same with his diploma. Call me anal? No, I sleep with an accountant.

Current midshipmen,

Does USNA allow you to use Flash media (USB) drives on:

(1) Your "personal" computers?
(2) Any other networked device?

I know what the Fleet answer is, but USNA normally has many "exceptions" to DoD/DoN policy.

Depending on their responses, it might be better to burn these documents to a compact disk (CD).

Won't be as stealthy, but I see your very valid point. A CD it is!
