Finally met 2 legends from SAF

Can we sell branch-themed bacon?

Navy: Seasoned with sea salt.

Army: Smoked over a campfire.

Air Force: Hogs hunted by drone.

Marine Corps: Served with a side of crayons.
This is classic. Now Coast Guard is rescuing lost bacon shipments, and aiding in intercepting bacon theft and trafficking.
Meanwhile, merchant marine is busy bringing those of us on the SABF Wrights bacon in mass quantities.

(All tongue in cheek, not negating any service)

Don't forget to have a section on proper terminology, vernacular and abbreviations. I hope no one makes the same that newbie me made by referring to Midshipman as M*****s.

A great place to meet fellow SAF members is at "Thudgate". This is a USAFA tailgate group. Great folks! I have met several SAF members there during home USAFA games, especially during Parents' Weekend.

Very true. This is where I met Flieger83 and Christcorp along with a few other SAF’ers from days past.

You all probably wouldn’t notice me at the SAF Conference. I’d just be hanging quietly in the background keeping an eye on things, ready to remove anyone who gets out of line.

If @Stealth_81 were to engage you in conversation at the SAF convention this is all he would say:

If it is held on Worden Field, I'll be backdrop sailing in a Navy 44.

If it bothers you that much, you’re more than welcome to add a CG version of your own.

Bothers me not even a little. With Space Force it's funny to watch people from my safety school miss 1/3 of the services.

Sir, if you PM me the next time you're on the yard for a parade I'll do my best to get you onboard.
Nothing like putting an OG to work doing what he used to! Bet he says yes in a nanosecond. This popped into my mind a great memory of a fellow BattO and former D&Ber who always sat in on drums when they were in Alumni Hall for a basketball game. Wore his blue and gold track suit with his name and class year. Big smile on his face the entire time.

@Capt MJ
Hay Capt: He probably wore a frown when Kelsey Minato was on Army's women's bball team.
They retired her # while she was still playing!
Went Artillery.

I also wore my SABF tat (sharpie on my wrist) to the Amish Market. Didn’t see another, no one approached me. Even waved my chocolate bacon 🥓 in the air.

That place was PACKED. Funny story: all these years, I thought the ‘Amish Market’ was that little market place at City Dock. I could never find bacon the couple times I had looked. Now I understand.

We completed the trifecta in one trip. My GOSH that pretzel thing was good. Stuffed with Cajun crab was our try!!
