According to a blog I have read, Ramsey affiliates are NOT required to be fiduciaries, and do have to "pay to play" to be referred by Ramsey. I cannot confirm this for certain, but I have read this in other articles as well.

As a CFP(r) practitioner, my opinion is that ANY celebrity financial guru who espouses blanket advice (one size fits all) should be scrutinized with a boulder of salt.
