With the DoDmerb site down how are people finding out about their results? Qualified, DQ'd, need for AMI? My son has a conditional offer to CGA and completed medical and eye appointment a few weeks ago. Dodmets site says completed and sent to DODMERB. Just wondering how he will know if he needs a waiver or if they want more info?

It will probably take a few weeks (has been taking about 4 weeks if qualified without anything additional) and you will see it appear in candidate portal of the academy. Before site went down you would also get an email from DODMER. I don’t know if that is happening now, but I would assume so. I have a son (with absolutely no previous medical issues) that finished DODMERB exams and “closed” about four weeks ago, we are still awaiting “Qualified“ to show in portal.

We are confused as to how my Son who’s ARROTC will find out. He’s checked his ROTC scholarship portal and didn’t see anything related to Dodmerb or Medical qualifications. Should he be expecting simply an email?

I cannot speak to ROTC that much. I know DoDMERB usually sends a status email to the candidates once a determination has been made. In SAs it will show in their portal. In SAs the DoDMERB takes place before an offer of appointment when in ROTC it usually occurs after a scholarship has been awarded. i would expect an email either way, but maybe someone with more ROTC experience could chime in..

The portal for DS is complete (application, nomination, CFA, etc.) with the exception of Medical Examination. He did the DoDMERB medical and eye exam on 11/21.

HIs "case status" on DodMETS says "Currently Your Case is "Complete & on hold" and adds "No additional action is required on your behalf" yet also says "Our CIV team case managers have identified some errors in your examination records".

Any perspective on how to interpret this?

We had the same issue. My DS's medical provider forgot a signature on one of the pages. DoDMETS identified the issue and worked with the provider to get it fixed. Your son can email or call to find out what the issue is, but I believe that is generally what the issues are in these situations. Something not filled out correctly or information missing. It took about a week for my son's to get corrected and out of the hold status. Most of that wait time was because the provider was out of the office. DoDMETS was very persistent on getting it resolved.

Many thanks for this.

My DD had the same issue. She completed her medical exams in late August. She got the same notification in mid September on DoDMETS "Currently Your Case is "Complete & on hold" and adds "No additional action is required on your behalf" and it seemed that they were checking with her examining doctors again for something. That took weeks and on 10/19/22 her examinations were submitted to DoDMERB. It said it could generally take 2-4 weeks for a determination. We're over 4 weeks out now and because of the backlog, I'm assuming it could be another month. I hope that helps. Her portal is complete as well except for the DoDMERB determination.

My daughter was in a similar situation. She received an email from a Dodmets case manager saying the doctor failed to record her sitting height and gave her options to get it taken care of. After that, a couple other things popped up and he said they send emails and faxes to doctors, but suggested she call the doctors as well to help expedite. So, you can probably email dodmets help and ask them if they know the details and/or ask them who your case manager is so you can contact him/her directly and find out what may be missing.

They'll probably get it resolved eventually on their own, but I personally like to know what's going on if possible.

Same here.
Error on a form associated with the eye test. We got the details and conveyed to the Dr. He took care of it right away. I would advise stepping in and not just assume it will get taken care of eventually.

For fun, email them at dha.ncr.dod-merb.mbx.helpdesk@health.mil. For reference, my daughter took her exams mid September, had a few things to get resolved and by 9/30 showed "complete" in Dodmets. Dodmets didn't show received by DoDMERB until Nov 11 (with an "incomplete-closed" status which was unnerving). She emailed DodMERB at that address to try to find out what was going on. In the meantime, she too received a conditional offer to the CGA. Finally after nearly 2 weeks she received a reply to her email on 11/29 that she was medically qualified and 2 days later...TODAY, she got an email from CGA that they received her medical qualification from Dodmerb and got the full appointment in her Bear's Den.

Best of luck! It's very stressful!!

Yes! There was an incomplete box on my daughter's eye exam. I called the doctors office and it took forever to make them understand what needed to be done to fix it. It took her forever to even find the email or fax that dodmets sent them. I was even giving her exact dates and times of when dodmets sent the emails! Persistence pays! It would've taken weeks if we didn't intervene.
