Fingerprints and Eqip

Does anyone know through which medium I receive information on submitting fingerprints and the eqip? Will I be sent fingerprint cards, or do I need to go to the police station? Same with the eqip—will it pop up on the portal? Thanks!
 
Looking at the past forums from past years... there will be an email out in the portal soon of these information. You get 5 days to fill out the e-QIP.
 
DS just received his fingerprint card in the mail the other day. A letter in the packet stated he could have his prints inked or they could be digital.
The letter recommended going to your local police department or a local recruiter to have it done(Call First). Once they receive the prints and it turns Green then the e-QIP will open. You should be receiving either an email with a fingerprint card attachment or wait for the packet from West Point Installation Security that has a fingerprint card in it.
 
DS went to the local recruiting office last Thursday. No issues to upload fingerprints electronically. It was also fun chatting with the recruiters. Still waiting for portal to be updated.
 
My DD went to the recruiter's office after being directed to complete finger printing in the portal. Make sure you take your letter stating you need the prints for West Point, just in case. Our local office required it, since a code they needed was on it.
 
I was able to get physical prints done through a local Sheriff's office. They are currently being shipped over.
 
I reccomend going to a local Army recruiter. Bring your social security card, it will take at most half an hour and they will send it all for you. Of course wait until you get the email to make an appointment for it bcause you'll need certain codes which West Point will provide. From there after it is proccessed you will begin the e-qip. I haven't started that yet, but when I do I can try and explain how it goes.
 
Just curious has anyones eqip opened up yet? Did my fingerprints yesterday but no check yet. Friend of mine did his few days ago and is green.

If you did it digital make sure you send an email to the person who initially emailed you. After that it may take a few days for the eqip to be sent, I have my green check for prints but I'm waiting on my eqip.
 
My DS did his electronically at a recruiting station. Even after uploading correctly at the recruiting station, the finger prints were never sent to WP. We went ahead and did them manually and mailed them in.

DS went to recruiters for this and they were awesome. They fed him and loaded him up with Army swag. He came back pumped! :)
