I had my ALO interview this morning. I think it went pretty well. A couple hours after the interview I checked my portal and my status was moved to complete, with the exception of my nomination and medical which is being worked on. So here we go the waiting begins. I am still trying to raise my score on the ACT I didn't do horrible on the first one but it definitely wont cut it for USAFA. I also have a SAT scheduled too so I can see if I do better with it verses the ACT. Other than that I am finished !

Wow congrats. If you don't mind me asking, did you have to get any medical waivers for DODMERB and who did you have administer your CFA? At my school teachers and students still aren't allowed to use the facilities, (track for mile, etc.), so I am at a bit of a standstill with my application. Best of luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your school to get special permission to take your CFA? One of the lessons I wish I would have learned earlier in life but have learned in my time in the Air Force, is that nearly everything is waiverable and it is always worth asking. There isn't a good health reason for you to not have one time access to the facilities you need at your school for the CFA (really just a track or 1 mile course and a pull-up bar), you probably just need to ask the right person. If you are ready to take your CFA now - find a way to do it!

DODMERB is still in process I have the medical exam done. They couldn't schedule me for the eye exam until September 1 so that part is still on going as is my nomination process as I said before. I am still trying to raise my ACT score and take a SAT as well, however my understanding is we can continue to do that for quite some time yet ? My GPA is 3.84 unweighted and 4.24 weighted , however my ACT score is LOW for USAFA standards, not sure why But I am doing everything I can to retake it and bring it up !

I practiced outside all summer for my CFA and was prepared to take it outside if I needed to. I contacted my principal and explained the situation he allowed me and a PE teacher into the high school Gym to take the test we had to wear masks, I did take mine off for the test. I have not heard anything back as far as not passing it so I assume I passed. My scores were ok , however my basketball throw was slightly under the average. I will list them in case anyone is questioning theirs.

Basketball throw 64 65 66 feet

Pull-Ups 18

Shuttle Run 8.5 and 8.7

Sit-Ups 95

Push-Ups 75

One Mile Run 6.26
