WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Rhodes Scholarship Trust has announced U.S Military Academy Cadet Jason Crabtree of Kingston, Wash., as one of the 32 recipients for this year’s prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the criteria of scholastic talent, leadership ability, integrity of character, selflessness and physical prowess. Crabtree will have the opportunity to continue his education at Oxford, England, for two years. Since 1923, West Point has earned this achievement 87 times.
Crabtree is in his final year at the West Point where he majors in civil engineering. He is the Brigade Commander for 4,400 members of the Corps of Cadets, and is currently ranked second in his class overall.
