This maybe a little early because I'm applying for next year, but is it okay to have your first choice of which academy to go to be one for one senator and another for the other one?

Have you thought about how you would respond if asked about it? The staffs talk. To what conclusion do you think they might come? What end do you hope to achieve?

It would also be useful for you to know if your elected officials have the policy if you get a nom from one, you will not get one from the other.

This is just food for thought. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve. Part of this process is investing the time in researching officer career fields and figuring out what path appeals to you most to get there. You can either go all in on one or two Service Academies, or if truly open to all service paths, apply to all 5. USCGA doesn't have a nom process though.

I am not sure putting yourself in the position of explaining two first choices is something I understand, but I assume you have your reasons.

Lots of older threads on this topic. Attempting to 'game' the NOM system is not recommended and can back-fire if you eventually end up with just one NOM to the SA that really wasn't your first choice.
