First ever US veto in the UN Security Council

    I think the veto was counterproductive, but maybe I'm missing some details.

    So the title is wrong, it's not the first ever veto by the US.

    I can state my opinion to this debate with a simple metaphor:

    If the United States and Mexico were at a century long conflict (mind you, with the United States really being the side in powers), and Mexico demanded that Americans could not build communities in Southern Texas for it would be possible in future negotiations that said South Texas territory could be a part of the new Mexican nation.

    Sorry if I lost anybody over there but all I see is Israel building homes and communities within their own borders.

    The Israeli PM is yet to sit down for peace with members of the Palestinian Authority until the PA recognizes Israel as a sovereign state.
