First Round of Offers

No, but I did message my FFR asking if my file went before the board, and he said it did, and confirmed I should find out about my status " by Monday or Tuesday I expect"

Since I am a re applicant, I asked mainly because last year I didn't hear until end of April (my RC said they were really close to offering me), and I am applying to transfer Uni's and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting to do that or not (would probably lose a slot if I waited until April)

Welp, I got a 4.0 taking the courses they asked, improved my packet all around, improved my CFA, brought my ACT up to a 31/32, got my 3Qletter,, and 3 noms. As much as I will be happy to know my status, I'm just hoping not to get knocked out of the admissions process this early in the game.

Congratulations on those statistics! Your resume looks so strong!!

Thanks, I hope the second time's the charm. Good luck to you as well.

My DS did her overnight yesterday. As she was getting ready to leave today admissions brought her in to speak to our MOC on the phone. Following the call her Admissions officer presented her with the appointment. It's been a great day. The timing was just right because they were mailings the offers today.

How awesome! Congratulations!

I got a call from my FFR saying that I will be getting a QNS letter shortly. No given reason,I just wasn't ranked high enough to be considered for the National Waiting List. Still awaiting news from USAFA and USNA. I have plans to reapply. I just don't know what I could have done differently...

That's very disappointing, any reason you think that you were cut so early? Or why you aren't competitive for te nwl?

My test scores could have been better (ACT-29) and my CFA could have been better. I am in the top 1% of my high school class, play 6 sports (10x letter winner, 4xMVP, a school record holder and track captain), student body officer, NHS officer, volunteer ski instructor, peer tutor, Girls State ect..... My qualified letter was in my portal two weeks ago and I was really confident about all parts of my application.

I don't know why you're getting a twe so early, your profile is competitive.

Are you in a super competitive area? In some areas, you would look stellar, but if you are in a district full of "water-walkers," that could explain it.

Thank you ca2midwestmom. Lynn Jenkins was so nice. The whole student section chanted my name!

It is possible your FFR might be jumping the gun. All FFRs are not the same. I been an FFR 10 years and I leave QNS notification to the admissions office and QNS is not something we see on our database.

My Regional commander told us that appoinments going out and to wait 72 hours before contacting candidates, nothing about QNS notification.

From what you posted, it looks like your ACT score is not high enough for NWL (I am guessing). Any chance you could have gotten a bad school official evaluation? A bad school official evaluation can derail an appointment.

If you plan to apply next year, improve your SAT/ACT. Even if you are a college student, test scores are still important.

I received a phone call from my senator that I was accepted and would receive my BFE in two days, but it has not arrived yet. A few of my friends in my state have received theirs already. Could it be because my school has not sent 7th semester transcripts yet? We finish our semesters pretty late.

DS just got his letter. I am actually a little surprised his MOC did not call, as he called with the nomination.

I'm not from a competitive district (NV-02). I plan to be an NCAA athlete at my plan B. How will it impact my eligibility to play at USMA if/when I get in?

Were you planning to be an athlete at WP? Had you spoken to the coaches?

I've spoken to the coach but the sport just went varsity this year and he is unsure if he has a spot. I was planning on hopefully playing at WP.

I agree with MemberLG - it seems early for a QNS, especially since the file completion deadline isn't for another month.
From what you have told us, your file looks competitive, so it is hard to believe that you were not competitive to go on the NWL. It seems like something else happened that is not visible, but I don't think it would have been a bad SOE because your file would not have been qualified with a bad SOE.
I would contact the RC and tell them that you want to reapply and ask what you can do to improve you file.
