First wave of BFE's?

If you are in the Northeast, the snow will definitely impact when your BFE will arrive. And if you are not in the NE, remember that WP is located there, so there may still be a mail delay.

My son got the call from his congressman (NJ #7) and it took a few days before his BFE arrived. I will say that they were the longest days of his life!!
 
DD had her offer of appointment listed on her portal this morning! What a pleasant and unexpected surprise. She was notified of her appointment Friday by our MOC but has yet to receive her BFE. What a blessing on this Sunday morning.
 
Saw the appointment in my portal last night. Didn't get any notifications from my MOC but my admissions counselor confirmed it's real! Just waiting for the BFE. What do we put in the appointment thread. Kind of confused what to post
 
For all who received your bfe, did you have your 7th semester transcripts turned in already?
 
My son did not have his 7th semester transcripts in yet. They aren't available yet. However, the letter confirms that the candidate must continue to update the portal with transcripts and other info, and makes clear that the offer is conditional on continuing to meet all of the criteria for admission.
 
Thanks! I was just wondering if the application would be looked at without those.
 
DS had an "Offered Appointment" on the application overview page of his portal as of today. His 7th semester transcripts are not available yet, so they have not been submitted. No BFE or call from MOC, just the portal.

It's so good to hear that others aren't hearing from their MOC. We've heard nothing. Congratulations, what a relief it must be!!!!!!!

DS had 2 MOC noms. The nom from our Rep was sent via mail. The nom from our Senator we only knew about because I've been stalking his press releases. But neither MOC called about the appointment.
 
Do you think this first wave is just primarily those who received a nomination from their congressman? Has anybody received one who has only the Presidential nomination? Thanks :)
 
Received call from my Coach Wednesday that I was officially offered admission and it was in the mail. This morning I accepted it on the portal. What could be in the mail? A letter or the BFE?

No. The timing of the issuance of appointments has nothing to do with who the nominating source is....a nomination is a nomination whether that comes from a Senator, Congressman, Presidential, the Secretary, etc.and although no one outside of admissions can tell anyone why a certain group are in the first wave, it's easy to surmise, and that's all it is, that it's those that completed 100% of the ir applications very early then reviewed and appointed, LOA candidates, etc.

During this difficult time of waiting, it's our nature to begin to process 100 different scenarios in our minds on why's and when's. Patience, as Joyce Meyer said, is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.

Which district in CA? My portal just showed a nomination this weekend, but no word from MOC about nomination or appointment yet.
