Are there any special sites for cadets/families to book flights to/from the Academy?

Special sites...

I know of no such entity. Are you looking for discounts because you or your child is a cadet? I don't think they exist either.

Rule of thumb: for Parents Weekend (Thurs before Labor Day through Labor Day) BOOK EARLY, whether you fly into COS or Denver. Find the type of accommodations you need/desire and BOOK EARLY. In case you were wondering: BOOK YOUR RESERVATIONS... TODAY.

There are no real financial perks to having a cadet at USAFA as far as the airlines go (or that used to be the case, and I doubt things have changed). But, your firstie, or 2* or even 3* will figure out that they don't need or want Mom & Dad to make their plans, especially for rides back from the airport. Somehow, they just show up in Denver and voila! there are cadets and ADAF people there willing to get them to The Hill on time.

I found the basic travel sites (expedia, travelocity, etc) seem to work well. Colorado Springs offers some flights, but a lot of the better deals are at Denver. If your cadet is traveling to/from the academy during the summer/holidays, Denver is a good option, as a LOT of cadets go through there. It's not hard to find a ride with an upper-class cadet. I basically just asked around and always found someone going to the airport within an hour or two of when I was going. On the way back...well, spotting cadets at DIA isn't exactly hard!

My dad gives me access to his Orbitz account and I book all of my own arrangements. This works better than having them try and book flights and keep up on my changing schedule.

From Chicago, I found $49 fares each way on Frontier. I thought that was good.
Not all airlines give cadets free bags, and I know Frontier charges for carry-on bags, not just checked bags.
$49 is a good price, but the extras can add up.

I've never paid for a bag with Frontier. My main annoyance with them is that they don't do pre check.

Where????
Are you asking where they are? I bought my parent weekend tickets and bct graduation airline tickets last week from Chicago ohare- Denver for $94 round trip so I guess it was less than $49 each way. I got it off Expedia, they are nonstop. Not sure if it's still available.

Southwest offers a set military fare. You have to call and ask for this as it is not available online

^^I agree. The OP is asking about special fares not available to the general public. There are many online websites where the general public can buy airline tickets.
