Haha, it looks like my Congressman being early has costed me two additional nominations.
Not really. They do not double nominate so at most one nomination. Also they do not decline based on your possession of a congressional nomination alone.

I got a letter from Nelson on Thursday saying he can't nominate me due to Rubio selecting me. Not sure about his regular decision letters. Best of luck!!
That would have been a great plan, like you said, had they notified us of their coordination. Thankfully, my representive does nominate to multiple academies so I say it unnecessary to try and "game" the senatorial nominations. For those who are interested in more than one SA, it is unfortunate that Nelson and Rubio do not explain in their application materials that they coordinate with each other and do not duplicate nominations. If equally interested (or nearly so) in two or more SAs, then it may be best (particularly if highly competitive) to list one SA as your first choice with Nelson and to list another SA as your first choice with Rubio.

Received a phone call from Rubio last Tuesday notifying me on my appointment to USMA. Not sure if I won his slate since I was also nominated by my Congressman (FL-15).
Congratulations! My DS received his Congressional Nomination to USNA from FL-27. He's so honored to receive the nomination and wants nothing more than to attend USNA or Prep. Best of luck to you and God Bless!
My DD is in the same boat. Still pending review. She did take the last SAT on January 21st and last ACT today too. Fingers crossed for USMA. She also got recommended to USMAPS from Senator Rubio and from her WP liason that was also on her MOC board. She received a Congressional Nomination. She did get a 3 yrs AROTC scholarship, so she put in some applications today too.Rubio and Nelson did not interview my D/d because she wasn't top 10% of her class... top 12 though, not good enough for them. Her MOC John Mica gave her a nom on a competitive slate. Rubio sent a letter saying they should send her to NAPS, and MOC Gus Billirakis from across the State sent a letter of recommendation on her behalf. Still "complete pending review" on her portal and waiting. Aaargh!
Good news, a nice guy from her NASS received his USMA today. Happy for him!

The reverse happened to my DS... he got Nelson but Rubio declined.... is that something unique to FL?I got a letter from Nelson on Thursday saying he can't nominate me due to Rubio selecting me. Not sure about his regular decision letters. Best of luck!!
