Foolish things people say about ROTC, as high school ends

I agree totally.

I would also add that many military brats join the military as adults, thus for them they have lived in their own bubble too.
~ Out of my military friends that have kids the same age as mine, the majority of us have at least 1 child serving.
~~ Some did not go military, but married a military member. My DS's wife was a military dependent.
~~~ My DD just graduated with her Master of Education...her dream job....teaching for DoD.
If my DS leaves at his 1st chance (pilot) he will have lived the AF life for 33 out of 33 years. His wife would have lived 32 out of 32.
You struck a nerve with me about the "Did you kill anyone?" Bullet and I taught CCD (Catholic Sunday school) for 8th graders on base, hence, military brats.. Of course you discuss the 10 Commandments. The kids knew Bullet flew the Strike Eagle, and they asked the same question. It was very hard to explain that answer when you are discussing this in a religious aspect. How do you say it is a sin to kill, but try to explain why you did?
It seeps in everywhere.
Now to lighten the mood. Bullet was training for the 15E, our DS was 5 and we went home to live with my Mom during this time. He was in Tae Kwon Do. His best friends Dad was going on a business trip and had issues with him leaving. The Mom said, but look DSs Dad is living away and can only come home for weekends, and he is okay with it. His response was:
Yeah, but his Dad has a cool job, mine is boring!
