For Those Awaiting an Appointment/TWE

What if the MOC doesn't choose a principal nominee? Does USAFA rate all the nominees from that MOC and go through that list until one accepts? or does that slot go to the NWL? 2 from our MOC have accepted other SA appointments, so I'm just wondering if someone from our MOC will still be offered that "slot"?

For all those Californians out there, I made a list. Hopefully I did not miss anyone, let me know if I did.

My son and several others in our town are still waiting to hear in Southern CAL. (CA-26). I did not see any from our district, but that does not mean someone else doesn't have it, since many do not post on this forum I am assuming.

My DS received his TWE this afternoon.. District 31 California.. He will move on, with plan B and reapply with a stronger resume as of July 1!!! Thanks to all of you on the forum for all the information and communal friendship that helped us understand the process!!! Good luck to all that are left!!

I received my TWE today as well. I think my mom is taking it harder than I am!! I'm definitely reapplying next year, and wishing luck to all of those still in the running!!! The application process has taught me more about myself than I knew. I'm ready for the journey ahead!

I think you are correct. I will add you to my So. Cal's waiting list.

So sorry to hear CB_Dad_5.

My DS received his TWE today and took it like the mature adult he is. He worked out and then went to play basketball with his friends. He vowed to reapply for the class of 2022. He can now focus on preparing for his freshman year of college at his plan B school and build upon his qualifications. To all those who received the dreaded TWE, stay strong and stay motivated. To all the appointees and their families, congratulations and best of luck.

DS received the TWE today. He was well prepared and had already moved on mentally. He took it really great and is really excited about Plan B. We've put the deposit down at the school and he'll be accepting his AFROTC Scholarship as soon as we get home from vacation.

I personally want to thank you a lot RickD. A while back I had posted about having to retake my CFA (probably the thing that weighed me down the most), and since taking your advice, I have pushed myself and lost 20 pounds and ran my first 5k the other day! I cannot thank you enough!!! Was really pulling for your son, but am sure that he will move on to bigger and better things!!! I wish him all the luck!

Looks like i'll have to change my name to USAFA2022. Was really hoping I didn't have to haha. I received my TWE this afternoon. To be honest I felt it coming a bit, but never lost faith. I believe anything is possible. I will be attending a university here in FL and become involved in AFROTC as well as reapply to the USAFA class of 2022. I will be one of those candidates that applies 2-3 times lol. Whatever it takes I will do. USAFA is my dream institution. In addition, i have come to the realization that whenever one door closes, many more will open. Everybody has a plan in their lives. Though extremely disappointed, i'm doing my best to keep my head up high and continue to strive to become an officer in the world's greatest military force.

I'd also like to add how truly blessed I have been to be surrounded by countless others on this forum with similar goals and ambitions. You all have made this process a lot less stressful. I hope to continue this journey with those reapplying starting this up-coming July 1st and wish everyone the best in their future endeavors. Good luck to those who are still candidates. God bless you all. See you around!
