For Those Awaiting an Appointment/TWE

Congrats. Just arm yourself with all of the information that you can when you speak to your parents. List out the Pro's/Con's of each that you can think of. Also, be honest. Let them know what is your preferred choice, why it is, and what you expect the outcome to be with that choice. Parents will support you, it's what we do. We just like to have the information ourselves and to see how excited you are about the opportunities that you have. Both are great.

Congrats! My DD got the TWE on April 17th as well, did your TWE also say not considered for the prep school?
Were you notified via email & portal?

Congratulations, Roy. That 1 extra year, if you accept the Falcon Scholarship offer, will go by so quickly. It did for my DS. He is well prepared for BCT and cannot wait. He has no regrets about his decision and glad he became a Falcon Scholar at R-MA.

DDmom, the TWE said I will not be considered for USAFA or USAFAPS. I was notified via email saying I had not been selected and to check the portal for more information. I guess the TWE didn't rule out a FS. Best of luck to your daughter.

How did you get the falcon foundation scholarship notification? By email or snail mail?

Do you know where you are going yet? DD is going to northwestern prep as a self prep, all the options seem good. My DD gave up her AFROTC spot to go to NWP, did your parents come around?

That's awesome! I'm pretty sure I'll take NWP, but I'm talking to NMMI this afternoon. Talked to the parents and they are now ecstatic about this opportunity!
