For those who were admitted into the Service Academies or attended them can you share your GPA, CFA score, and Stats so that everyone else can have an Idea of the average scores to point at, thank you in advance for your precious help! :D

Let me try to bring some efficiency to your information-gathering process, which will also result in greater accuracy because the data comes from a primary source.

Go to the USMA website and find the latest class profile. It'll show you the middle 50% of scores for SAT/ACT. The class profile also includes percentage of plebes who played varsity sports, were class president, achieved Eagle Scout, attended Boys/Girls State, held team captaincies and other important accomplishments.

Google "USMA CFA instructions." You'll be pointed to a PDF document that provides test guidance along with average scores.

As for GPA, that's meaningless because there's no national standard for GPAs. USMA looks at individual transcripts in the context of the candidate's school profile.

Happy hunting.

I'm just going to include the basics for you but keep in mind that the application process is not just quantitative. I just got appointed to the class of '25.

4.27 GPA
1420 SAT
104 ft Bball throw
12 pullups
8.2 shuttle
52 pushups
84 situps
6:02 mile

I was also a manager/supervisor at my job as well as held many other leadership positions, an I'm sure that helped a lot since I had good recommendations to back all of it up.

I have been appointed to the co/2025 as well.

4.17 GPA
33 ACT
69 ft bball throw
10 pull ups
8.1 shuttle
49 push-ups
79 sit ups
7:00 mile
Leadership roles within extracurriculars as well. My interviews were what got me the appointment I believe.

What really matters are the stats, GPA, SATs of the people on your slate. Some slates might be won with lower “stats”, some slates might have top stats that don’t get appointments. And everything in between.

What nobody can ever know is the competition.

@MidCakePa is right.

I come from Europe, do you think that in my case it will be easier? 😀 I was born in Kansas but non of my parents is a U.S. citizen and is more than 12 years that I live in Europe.

I am the least qualified poster to know that answer! I’m pulling for you though.

My kid spent the first twelve years of his life in Europe. Good stats all around and bilingual but got rejected by WP yesterday. So close but not just not close enough. What can you offer WP and the US Army is the main thing to think about. Where you were born is pretty irrelevant.

I ranked 4th at the National Karate Championship and was awarded whit a certificate of merit by the major of my city, I was the leader of the long jump team, I speak Italian at an academic/Native speaker level, I speak French, Danish and I'm studying Emirati Arabic. Straight A's at school and one B+ in math, I ranked first in my class and 5th in my school, I was selected by the Italian Ministry of defense to participate at an international NATO camp and I was the leader of my Paintball and Canoe team, I participated at different University conferences and meet several ambassadors and professors. I got into one of the top Universities in my country and next year (before USMA I hope) I will attend the international relations course. Finally, I'm attending an advanced English course recognized by Cambridge University.

I didn't write everything but these are the more important

I'm simulating the CFA 5 days a week and getting very high grades at school. I'm working hard every day and I'm doing this on my own, my parents support me but they want me to make it on my own. I don't have the pretension to make it but I will try my best, real failure for me is surrendering before I even try, not being rejected.

It matters for the nomination, thankfully the admission team is very helpful.
I don't understand what you mean with this. The nomination? As in Presidential/VicePresidental/MOCs/Service-connected noms? Where are you going to try to get yours from? I just meant that my son who also has a pretty impressive file, great grades, awards, sports, leadership positions and speaks two languages and has lived abroad for a long time in Europe for 12 of his 18 years still did not make the cut. Good luck to you, Greeneye22, keep working hard.

I think he was implying that where he was born matters for the MOC nomination. Whether a similar candidate didn’t make the cut has no bearing on whether he does.

Yes, my congressman and the senators of my State said that probably they can’t nominate me because I’m not resident in Kansas, for this reason, I asked the admission office and they are trying to find a solution. Thankfully the admission office was very kind and helpful and I’m confident they will find a solution.
