Well I went to the semi finals last night, and the Skills Challenge tonight, and tomorrow is the NCAA championship between BU and Miami (OH).

You would be happy to know that the Air Force and Army were both represented well during the skills competition and had the Air Force made it to the Frozen Four, I would be pulling for them. Navy semi-hosted the Frozen Four too.

Great time, good hockey.....I'm very much enjoying it. :thumb:

LITS,
Late reply I know. Never miss a chance to talk hockey!
Your post states you watched the semi's. Did you make it to the final?
What an ending!!! Feel sorry for the Miami captain.

AF was at the top this year, and although Army did not make the top 20 national, they were very competitve in their division.
What is your opinion as to why Navy is still D1 club. Demographics, geography?

Have a great off season.

Made it to all the Frozen Four games. They came on a sheet, one ticket for both semi's and then the final. I also made it to the Hobey Baker award presentation and was able to talk to Gilroy and Colin Wilson. Wilson was a draft pick of the Predators (my NHL team), so I told him we were excited to see him play in Nashville....one week later he signed a 3 year deal with the Preds.....

The final game as outstanding. Miami really gave them a fun for their money.

Frozen Four is on my bucket list.
Sorry about your Preds. Good run at the end. At least they owned the stinkin Red Wings this year!

Hope they stay in Nashville for three years. Good luck

Hey! Hey! Watch those comments about the Red Wings! :unhappy:

I like to go to Nashville when the Wings are in town. Funny thing is that most of the fans in the stadium are usually wearing RED.

I'm OK with the Preds though. I do like watching Tootoo trying to tatoo people.

BTW LITS, did you get to watch the skills competition? IIRC, they were having the women's skills competition there as well.

They average over 87% capacity better than almost 10 teams. I don't think they're going anywhere.

You must be thinking back to 1999, I haven't seen that much red in Nashville for awhile....maybe even less when Saturn hits the road.

I did wath the skills competition, and the women were also there. It was great. They took down the glass on the sides so the players could throw things into the stands....good time.

I got to see the UNH vs Miami game on tv when I was in Florida. Saw vanRymsedyke. future all-star, coming to play for my fly guys next year :thumb:
