For FY17, a total of 5029 applications were submitted and 3936 eligible applications were boarded for the NROTC Navy option 4 Year National scholarship boards (including nurse corps applicants). Below are the averages for scholarship recipients, broken out by flavor of scholarship:

Keep in mind that the above data primarily provides insight into the average standardized test scores and high school GPAs for selected applicants; there are many other factors considered.
 
Thanks for this information. Are there any actual statistics on #of applications, offers and acceptances by each of these categories and Academic Tiers?

Did the source document break out LREC scholarships? Or are they simply included as part of the 12% that are not tech majors?
 
Thanks for posting those. The ISR numbers are right there with the National numbers. I wonder what it is they see in a candidate to award an ISR.

Years ago, when more scholarships were offered and average SATs were in the low 1300s, ISRs served an important purpose. Now, yes, they seem to more or less jive with the average student awarded a National scholarship.
