General Donahoe wades into the social media minefield

I had a front row seat to attacks on senior military leaders on social media. While it was frustrating at times, I do think the best response is no response. Often it’s best to say nothing at all. Not necessarily ignoring what is written as there may be some validity, but avoid any written comments.
Having said that, I don’t think stifling speech we don’t like is healthy. I can point to many ideas over the history of our race that were initially mocked then found to have validity.
Except when it comes to Navy sports. Everyone knows Navy sports is decrepit.

He definitely should have not engaged, in any manner, with professional polemicists. There is a reason they earn 20x the MG's salary and that doesn't include saying something like, "You know? You may be right. I take back what I said."

I know they are on Faux News … CNN is probably worse … The EPA is worse than all of them.

My 30 year old Geothermal unit at the house is still running R-22 refrigerant … R-22 was outlawed, then all new units switched over to 410A which wasn’t any better on the environment than R-22 … now the EPA is forcing the manufactures to use a Flammable refrigerant … 454B …. Go figure that one out …🥸

I am going to try to get as many years as I can out of my R-22 geothermal WaterFurnace 🙏

Why is the US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence not just the Maneuver Center? Are there other Maneuver Centers that are just average?

Reminds me of the "Montgomery Burns award for outstanding achievement in the field of excellence" presented to Homer Simpson by Joe Frazier. (Simpsons S3.E24)

Yeah. I wondered the same thing. Everyplace is now the “_________ Center of Excellence.” Is there a Center of Mediocrity? A bunch of FEBA.
