General Milley and "the book" ???

I'm tired of the revolving door of people of influence and "credibility" in the military or government, who immediately leave their posts for lucrative broadcasting, corporate board or other private industry positions. Milley walked across the park for Trump's photo op with the bible. He regretted it and knew it was going to cost him opportunities in retirement. So since then, he's done everything he can (including leaking this act, whether true or not, to Woodward) to burnish his reputation in some circles. This, and everything else he's done in the past year or so, is to ensure he gets a lucrative Board position in retirement.

But the orange (color/flavor) is better for cleaning deck drains and fire fighting equipment.
I faithfully run one pack of lemonade flavor powder kool-aid packet through our dishwasher each month to eliminate hard water build up.

Is this in reference to the former vs present President, or the Kool-aid flavor of choice?

That was a joke. Please don't ban me...

Can I weigh in here as being naive enough to want our voice as constituents to matter?

To be a sovereign country (which requires a border) and to follow the Constitution?

I live 20 miles from Mexico. My perspective is not that of the average American as it relates to border security.

I don’t care who sits in that nice chair behind the Resolute desk. Handle your s$i@. For the good of all of us.

Tribalism will not unite us or further this great nation’s progress.
Off my soap box.

Also, as an aside, and hopefully a positive. Being at my first Navy football game was a personal best for me. Special in ways I cannot explain as the granddaughter, niece, great niece, daughter and mother of a MIDN.
The best moment (besides hugging my MiDN) was being in the stands. This is the only stadium where I heard everyone around me sing the anthem. Then, they heartily sang “America the Beautiful “. It was a moment I will treasure forever.

We have so many things that divide us and try to make us look over here rather than over there. Maybe we just need to look at the good stuff and the amazing people to our left and right. We should talk more about that and less about the garbage.

I will choose the goosebumps moments over anything else. Every time.

Not such a treasured moment on my side of the stands... I was anxious to hear the combined glee clubs sing this song. They are so, so talented... But then the season ticket holder right next to me with a very, very loud, and very off-tone voice decided to sing along. And she had great lungs. No problem with her projection at all.

And she new ALL the verses (are you kidding me?), so she sang the entire song. I was never able to appreciate the glee clubs.

But then again... She was a volunteer firefighter and showed that she loves this country, so I just sat back and soaked it all in with a smile on my face...

I can’t carry a tune but that day I may have sung heartily to participate. My apologies for those of us who are tone deaf. We make up for lack of talent with love of country. Wish we could have shared a moment over a beer

True story: My dad offered me $100 to veer out of bounds in a game and hit Steve Spurrier “accidentally.” #perjorative

Perfectly sound reasoning ladies, but did you consider that General Milley created the situation where "one word wrong" could be a mistake.
That could be anyone communicating though. It is not a defense of him but don't rely on Google Translate for something that matters. This is why the government agencies recruit young adults who spoke critical languages at home. I'm not a linguist but we don't know what is humor, a metaphor, idiom, or a.phrase with deep cultural roots that goes back to some ancient religion or reign so not to take it at face value because there is a different meaning.
