Genesis Invitational

It was great! Very informative, and my DS had a great experience as a "bean sprout", as well as a great meeting with the coach.

USCGA has become number 1 on the list with our son since the event.

@ Grevar

So glad to hear your DS had a great time at CGA..... and spoke with the coach. CGA is a beautiful place and I was very impressed when I went to visit with my DS.
Best of luck to him ! Sounds like he is on the right path with his LOA to CGA!:thumb:

Thanks Grevar! I am so happy for you! Keep us posted on your son's progress! It keeps us motivated. My DS submitted his application last week and is waiting for his AO to schedule an interview. Any tips? Also do you know when the next Genesis Invitational is?

Not sure of the dates, but I know there are two more between now and December.

As far as interview tips...the advice they give seems pretty solid. If your DS/DD has great people skills, and does well with these things, they are recommended. Otherwise no. Not doing an interview is not held against you as it seems most do not. THey MUST be schedule with a phone call by ONLY your DS/DD. Parents, resist the urge to want to set it up for them. The stressed that several times in the briefs we attended.

Go Bears!
