Is was a big day in Georgia with NOM interviews happening all around town. While I hung out and paced with the other parents, I couldn't help but notice all the fine young men and women entering and leaving the building. The fact you were there today seeking a NOM speaks volumes about your character. Good luck to all.

It was a long day, to be sure. Did you happen to hear how many slates ea one has? I wasn't there, so my questions didn't get asked :cool:

Most of heard was Isakson and Woodall had two spots for AF. Did not hear any on Chambliss. Accuracy of info is better than 50%.

Well, DD is one step closer! She rcvd Noms to USNA and USAFA from Congressman Collins today!

Falconchic88;

Congrats on the nominations and good luck on appointments. My son doesn't even have his congressman's interview date yet; also waiting to hear back from Senators. He hopes to hear something no later than December.

Chambliss letter is out today. I think good news comes in a phone call, not in a letter.

I just received a call from my son that he received a nomination from both Senators. He was notified by regular mail.
On a second matter; since he has an LOA should we cancel his interview with our Congressman?

Thanks and continued good luck to everyone!

No, you should still interview. That gives flexibility to whom the nom is ultimately "charged."

Do not cancel your interview. Get all the NOMS you can as their are never guarantees when dealing with Government. Also, you give the Academy maximum flexibility in how they slot yours. Indirectly, you may be helping someone else. Let the Congressman decide whether they want to award or not award your child.

Sorry; the noms from each Senator were for Naval Academy. It sounds as if he should keep his congressman's interview.

Thanks for the input!!
