I was thinking of getting my DS a Garmin Instinct smartwatch. It's rugged and discreet and he can use it out in the field for gps, running, climbing, etc. He wanted an Apple Watch but I feel those are too much money for how brittle they are.

The MUT is definitely better than what I have.

Depends on his job when he is done.

If he is in the field with weapons and other technical gear, then yes.

If he is a Navy finance officer, maybe he can fix the laser printer with it.

Finance. That’s funny. Not a snowballs chance. His goal is Naval Flight School.

I LOVE my Apple Watch but it is very delicate and they have not perfected a good case for them IMHO.
