Plebers can't have sunglasses during plebe summer. They can have then during the academic year. My mom got me a magazine subscription for my birthday. Like a weekly news magazine. That was alright. There is something called a flip video recorder that is pretty cheap and a lot of mids like to have them. Watches work as well. During the summer, cliff bars or something like those are awesome because you can run and eat at the same time while going to sports period.

It's graduation tomorrow, but today is the big party. Just thought I would follow up on what we decided to do to celebrate. We rented a room at our local Holiday Inn Express and have some tents going up outside as well. We went with a combined theme....some high school colors for a display table and then the rest is Navy & Gold! I had a lot of help.....my friend made all the brownies for dessert and even powder sugared anchors on them!!! My husband and I have been cooking since last evening....a good southern spread......jambalaya, collard greens, grilled chicken, sweet tea....should be a lot of fun. Then son graduates on Saturday AM. My boss got son the new military Frogman watch by Casio. He will get it tomorrow. Getting close now......like 19 days!!

If I were you, I would keep the frogman until PPW. Time telling devices aren't allowed. Even during the school year, they aren't necessary. But some people like to have them once they are allowed.

I am an appointee to USAFA and have a Flip HD Video Camera and it is awesome. not only can I take video but I can get freeze frames for pictures from the camera. and it plays crystal clear on the tv. the only problem is that the video is a little shaky if you are used to other cameras

Yes, we intend to bring it PPW....thanks.

Well, the Christmas gift-giving season is almost upon us and our Plebe has said, "Mom, this may sound tacky, but if anyone in the family asks what to get me for Christmas, please tell them money." I have come to find out that my son's company area (and it may well be that other company areas are the same or similar) have a food locker and each item that they check out to consume is assigned a price.....at the end of the week you need to pay your food bill. The $100 pay doesn't go far. (And no, he has never asked for a dime and we send him food care packages on a regular basis).

Yeah as a freshman, I'd agree. I really don't have an idea what to say... family always asks what I want, haha.
