Hi everyone! I recently completed the Girls State process with the interviews and essays, but I ended up being the 1st alternate instead of the delegate.

Would it be helpful at all to mention that I am the 1st alternate or is there no point of mentioning that in my application?

Put it on your resume, but do not add the credential to your portal unless you are a delegate and actually attend...

I am assuming you are applying for the class of 2026? Could you add it to your resume, but also let WP know on your application that you are the 1st alternate? I think it shows great leadership that you went through the process of interviewing and being chosen to be an alternate (yes, delegate would have been nice but this is still a good spot--you still may go!) Let them know on your application that it is for summer 2021--that is if I have it correctly?
