If she wants to learn more about the programs, the faculty are listed on the uscga.edu website. Some programs also have FB pages. Many look at Nav Arch and Marine Engineering (NAME) as well as Mechanical Engineering, but she can move into Naval Engineering from other majors too. She still has plenty of time to explore. Since most faculty are working remotely, I recommend that she emails first and does not call. Some programs have also posted capstone presentations online.
