Quick question: are you allowed to wear glasses your first year at The Citadel? (I mean your own personal glasses). Thanks in advance!

It looks better if you don't. If you squint enough you can pretend you are in Waikiki instead of in the Barracks!
seriously- unless you are doing an Elton John routine with your glasses- you should be Ok- at least you would be at VMI.

Thank you, I cannot wait! Hhhhmmmm maybe I should not wear them!

DS debated between contacts and glasses. Contacts can take a few minutes to deal with in the morning unless you have extended wear which he is going with. Not sure what the best route would be if you have to put them in every morning while someone is yelling at you to hurry up:shake:

My advice would be: Wear your glasses. you really don't want to fool around with your contacts every morning while someone is howling at you. Make sure that you have a backup pair. As a glasses wearer myself- it's always better to see than not- even if what you see is the shaved head of the Rat in front of you in ranks or the boots of the Cadre corporal having you push dirt:rolleyes:.

Glasses are a pain though. Especially when you're sweating all day and they keep sliding down your face or getting dirty. Even at VMI with intense rat line mornings (which im sure citadel will have) I always had time to get some solution on my hands and get them in there. if worse came to worse I left them in and added solution onto my eyes in the morning. You will definitely need your glasses because 24/7 contact wear can be stressful on your eyes, but in my opinion contacts are the way to go if you can get them in and out quick
