My DS is interested in trying out for the Glee Club. From what I see Plebes are pretty much screaming all the team which is horrible for voice. Any advice here?

My DS tried out for and made Glee Club. The tryouts are at the end of the summer. He found out he made the group duduring Plebe Parent Weekend. We were present when the list was put out. My son did not practice anything in particular for the tryout. As a matter of fact, they had him sing the bass line of Anchors Aweigh which he had been singing quite a bit. I think they look for natural talent. My DS has a great voice and just pure musical talent. He had little choir experience. My DS LOVES glee club. Good luck to your boy in making the group. I can't remember exactly how many they take. Either 10 or 20.
Those who make the club tend to really enjoy it. Friends who did this stayed all 4 years on it, tended to be very close with others on it and really enjoyed the travel. They tend to travel over spring break and sometimes will sing in the DC area for Christmas events or even inaugurations.
