I was medically disqualified for hearing loss and have been pending a waiver since late December. From what I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, the Naval Academy looks at applications in slates. Does that mean they look at all applications from a specific area or city? I recently talked to my BGO and he told me that only 2 of his candidates have not recieved a decision yet, me being one of them. I am wondering if this has any possible meaning on my admissions decision. In a way it's good news because I haven't recieved a TWE. But I may have not recieved a decision due to the waiver I need. I do not know how competitive I am as an a candidate. Im ranked 5th out of 370 in my class, 1250 2 part SAT (690 M + 560 CR), I have 9 Varsity sport letters, good community service and school club involvement, summer job, decent amount of leadership, alright CFA scores (50 push-up, 70 sit-ups, only 5 pull-ups, 6:10 mile). I did not receive a NROTC scholarship. If anything I'm hoping to get a spot at NAPS or a foundation school. Any thoughts or feedback are greatly appreciated!

Someone posted the email that came with the TWE yesterday, it included: "Unfortunately, if you had a medical waiver pending, there will be no further review of your medical status."

The take away is they can still make a decision on you even if you need a waiver still. You survived the big cut yesterday, that's a good thing. Hang in there.

If your portal still says "completed pending review", you are still in the running. Good luck!

Being still in the game is a good sign. Seems like a large wave of TWEs came out this week.

If your medical waiver hasn't been approved but USNA intends to offer you an appointment, you will receive an LOA.
