For those apply for any branch's ROTC scholarship, I recommend How to Win ROTC Scholarships by Chuck Brewer. It's written by a former Marine officer who previously served on an ROTC selection board, so he knows what he's talking about. It has really good info about how to make your app the best possible, how to get recommendations done, how to prepare for interviews, and tips for the essay, and also includes info on the inner workings of the selection board.

I would agree. Although the book is getting a little dated it does help understand the process and what the selection board is looking for...

Brewer's book is very helpful. We have also found the Air Force Academy Candidate Book by William Smallwood & Sue Ross another resource packed with good information. The AF book gives good general insight for any academy.
