Wanted to say hello and I am here for some shared anxiety. DS has his first nomination to USNA in the bag which is a relief. I am hopeful for his appointment but understand it is never a clear cut thing. He has an SAT score well above the 75% and great grades in a challenging curriculum. He is medically qualified and has a qualifying CFA. His MOC nomination came from a source that uses the principal system and he is not the principal, hence the anxiety. I am ever hopeful that his academic profile will make up the difference and he will earn one of the unattached appointments.

I will be following along and celebrating everyone's joy and suffering along with setbacks.

Good to see you have an understanding USNA can go back to his slate, offer additional appointments that are charged to other nom authorities. Good luck!
